Outcroppings

Outcroppings is a landscape sculpture and new land marker inspired by the geologic history of the Winnipeg area. Conceived of as a projective sculptural form, it is an artwork which attempts to acknowledge the mineral abundance of this land that has been part of this region and Manitoba’s heritage since the earliest period of of human habitation. The 7 sculptural outcroppings are situated along the sloped greenspace to the east of the pedestrian/cyclist path to the south of the new underpass.
